Prairie Chapel has a variety of great ministries where we pray and work to show God’s love to people in our community.

Prayer Circle

The Prayer Circle is a network of prayer volunteers connected by phone and the internet.  Each day they ask for God’s hand on all those listed our our prayer list.  If you are in need of prayer – please call the office at 417-993-4403, email us at or fill out our

online prayer request form

.  If you want to be part of the Prairie Chapel prayer team – contact Pastor Jeff.

Praise & Worship Team

Sharing God’s love through music is the focus of Prairie Chapel’s Praise & Worship Team, who perform and lead music at our Sunday 10:00 a.m. worship service.  Anyone is welcome to join.  Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m., prior to worship.

Good Samaritans

Sharing God’s love in times of need is this team’s purpose.  We make visits and calls to anyone needing help or who might just need someone to talk to.

Fishes and Loaves

This dedicated group of people prepare healthy meals to persons in need because of illness or circumstances that make it hard for them to prepare meals for themselves or their families.

Prairie Chapel Food Pantry

Matthew 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”  Prairie Chapel’s Food Pantry is a designated food pantry for the USDA Food Program (USDA Nondiscrimination Statement).  Approximately 140 families receive assistance through this important ministry.  The pantry distributes food on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2:00- 6:00 p.m.

Disaster Relief

Prairie Chapel’s Volunteers In Mission group provides assistance to churches and communities in areas affected by disasters.

Health Ministry

Free blood pressure checks are offered the first Sunday of every month.  Prairie Chapel also hosts regular community blood drives.

Angel Giving Ministry

The focus of this ministry is showing God’s love to families in need during the Christmas season.  We adopt families and provide gifts for the children who may not otherwise know the joy of opening a loving gift on Christmas morning.

Bereavement Ministry

At a time of great sorry and grief we show God’s compassion by preparing and serving a meal with care and love for the family and friends who’s love one has passed on.
